Description The full story Robin Presner – Student of Conjuration The Presner family is one well known to most who live in the coastal cities of the Grey Sea. One of their merchant ships could almost always be surely seen in any cities that line the sea. Andunae, Sundestra, Velandria, Edimir, Grimgate. All of them were the constant homes of these ships, though the Presner family themselves found their home in the quaint town of Daronai, one of the small island towns off Draksborne’s Arm Coast. When Robin was only a boy, he exhibited signs of arcane ingenuity. Whilst his parents were both inert, he was showing promising signs of the Breath at an early age, somehow knowing what his parents were thinking, or who might be knocking on the door to their manor. Seeing these signs, Robin’s mother, Thania, saw for his to son to receive personal tutoring by a prestigious court wizard who once served in the Court of House Phoenix, the holders of the Duchy of Canos. Whilst the court mage was able to hone the basics of magic into the young lad, he came to terms that there was only so much he could teach him, and advised that Robin instead be sent to the University of Canos when he was at the age of sixteen. A year later, Robin would witness the utter destruction of the University, and the horror wrought by Dragonblight against his fellow students. Two years on the memories still haunt him, plaguing his nightmares and dreams. Yet, hope still glimmers. The school has been rebuilt, and a sense of normality has returned. Robin, like all those who were present for the blight, still wear its scars upon their hearts, joined in solidarity for what hell they lived through. In his final year of studying, Robin hopes to leave with the knowledge to build an enduring legacy in the stead of those who will never have the chance. His father’s merchant empire, after the Dragonblight and recent events in Baldur, is almost in ruin. Though he calls for his son’s return to use his powers in statecraft, Robin is unsure whether he wishes to, knowing there are better things to pursue than continuing the cycle of greed that is the Presner Trading Company.
