Lars von Findros – Elite Knight of the North
Description The full story Lars von Findros – Elite Knight of the North A knight from the city of Findros in Draksborne’s north. Lars and his sister Alwine are bastard twins born from noble stock, their father being a landed viscount. The pair never knew their mother, and were raised in the confines of their father’s court, though shielded from the daily proceedings and public eye, often tormented by their half-siblings and met with only scorn from their father’s wife. All through these years, Lars did his best to take the brunt of it, shielding his sister from what he could. Yet, it seldom mattered. Though if there was one thing the pair excelled at, it was in the sparring grounds of the manor. Even against his elder siblings, Lars held his own, and once they were matched in size, easily bested them time and again. It was natural then, that their father would send for his two bastard children to become squires within the Marine Knights, and eventually both ascend to knighthoods of their own, though still marred by their bastard surnames. When Dragonblight spread through the lands of Draksborne, the Duke of Findros was swift to order his people out to sea. Every citizen was crammed onto ships and sent into the open sea, in hopes the disease would not reach them there, and when normalcy returned, they might return to a mostly intact city. Though the Duke’s plan succeeded at first, the Blight reached them on the back of seabirds, infecting ships before they could mount a response, or defense. Lars and Alwine were among the boarding parties of Marine Knights who stormed the first infected ship, attempting to quell the outbreak on the vessel and recover what supplies they could from its hold. Their squad was slaughtered in moments, with the siblings barely escaping with their lives, and only a handful of other survivors. Lars, against the cries and pleas of his sister, informed the Duke that no infected ships could be saved, and gave the recommendation that they should all be burned. The Duke solemnly took his advice, ordering his mages to engulf them all in flame. The screams of the women, watching them throw their babes overboard, still haunts Lars to this day. Yet, for his actions and words, Lars saved those of Findros who still could be saved, and Alwine regrettably knows that as well, even if she has never looked at her brother the same since that day. Now, years on, the pair have been sent south to Limlight at the instruction of the Duke. There, they are to aid in the current outbreak that has taken place in the village, after the Blight had retreated for the last two years. It has seemingly re-emerged only in this location, which has been placed under an arcane quarantine. Owing to their expertise and knowledge in combatting plague-borne monstrosities, the pair are sent into the quarantine zone. Whilst Lars knows it may well be a death sentence handed down to them by the Duke, he hopes that he might make a difference here, and save whatever lives he can. Should that fail, at least make peace with his sister before the end. Exceptional Quality Our models are conceived on paper and then bought to life as concept art by our dedicated arts team.
