LSLT (low smoke, low toxicity) neoprene sponge is fully closed cell and conforms to rail specification EN45545-2. A cost-effective compliant sponge suitable for mainly indoor applications as resistance to UV/Ozone is classed as only being good (HT800, BF1000 or BF2000 Silicone sponge would be more suitable for high UV/Ozone) or where resistance to oils is required. LSLT neoprene sponge has good resistance to abrasion and with a working temperature of –50°C to 110°C it’s a cost-effective material for various rail applications.
