Sindan the Southern Hammer
Description The full story Sindan the Southern Hammer Sindan spent many years walking the scorching highway through Sudd Tohst’s centre. A caravan guard for slave convoys driven through the desert, witnessing the worst of humanity whenever things took a dire turn. It was not just one occasion that rations became spoiled or lost, and the other slavers resorted to cannibalism of their product to make the rest of the journey. Others would often perish on the way. Sindan would have left had he the choice, but he owed a debt to the slavemaster, for the emancipation of his love; something that could have been taken away had he chosen to quit. Before long, this debt became moot. He returned from a journey one day to find his love vanished, along with his wealth. Whether she stole it and escaped, or was the victim of a break-in to his home, he would never know. Years of searching bore no fruit, and destitute and heartbroken, he left the badlands, paying for passage to Belfrie, where the white shores and green lands would not bring back the haunting memories of his past. His work began as an assistant in a smithy, with little else to his name. His thoughts turned to joining a mercenary outfit, but the raging Liturium War bore only grave news for those in the fighting. By chance, he came upon a flyer for the Crucible. Having confidence in his fighting, he chose to join as a combatant. Now, dozens of fights later, he bears the scars to tell of his victories, and has earned the affectionate name of the crowd as the Southern Hammer.
