Industrial Gaskets Spiral Wound – Style CGIR gasket combines an outer centering ring for alignment and compression limiting with an inner ring to provide additional structural integrity and prevent inward buckling and erosion of the gasket’s sealing element. This construction enhances performance in high-pressure, high-temperature, and corrosive or toxic media applications, offering superior blowout protection and limiting compression to prevent flange damage. The internal ring which gives an additional compression limiting stop and provides a heat and corrosion barrier protecting gasket windings and preventing flange erosion. The Inner Ring prevents turbulence and erosion damage to the flange faces at the bore and also acts as a shield to protect the gasket bore and inner windings. Applications High-Pressure and Temperature Services: Suitable for Class 900 and above, and where severe service conditions are expected. Corrosive and Toxic Media: The inner ring provides a barrier against corrosive or toxic fluids, making the gasket ideal for petrochemical, chemical, and other critical processes.
