Spiral Wound – Style CG

The Spiral Wound – Style CG  is a type of gasket for pipes and flanges that has a metal spiral-wound sealing element and a solid outer metal ring, also known as a centering or guide ring. The outer ring helps to position the gasket accurately on the flange, provides radial strength to prevent gasket blowouts, and limits compression to avoid damaging the sealing element.  The CG style is suitable for general-purpose applications, including both flat face and raised face flanges flat face and raised face flanges, under mild to moderate service conditions.   Applications Centering:  The outer ring precisely guides the gasket to the correct position on the flange.  Blowout Prevention:  The outer ring adds radial strength, reducing the risk of the gasket being forced out from between the flanges.  Compression Limiting:  The outer ring prevents the bolt load from crushing the sealing element too much, which helps maintain optimal sealing performance.   Refer datasheet for further product information or contact our Technical Sales team.
