Comes in a fine or coarse grade. Coarse Washed River Sand contains small stones which gives the sand a coarse property and makes it a better option for drainage. Common uses include horse arenas to allow a soft and gentle working area that won’t compact like clays and other heavy soils. It can be utilised in concreting construction for feature uses i.e. textured finishes or as bedding sand for paving. Mix this type of sand with heavier soils such as clay, to improve drainage, helps stop compaction and allow water and air to infiltrate.
