Description Our Playground Mulch is made up of 3/4-1 inch pieces of ground wood. It is IPEMA Certified which means it has not been treated with chemicals and is safe for children and animals. If you are using this mulch in a play area, a depth of 12-17 inches is recommended. While our Playground Mulch can help create a safer play area, preventing injuries from impact, it is a wood product and is not splinter-free.
